Jamie has something to say about everything, whether he knows about the subject or not. Favourite things that he can talk endlessly about are time travel, fountain pens, and all types of shape-shifters (biologically annoying). If a TV show or movie has the word “Star”, “Space”, or “Doctor” and “Who” in the title, he’s probably a fan.

A Halifax playwright, actor, puppeteer and voice actor, Jamie’s most intimidating acting scene involved holding a prop knife at Malcolm McDowell’s throat in one of the LEXX movies. He regrets that he could have prevented Captain Kirk’s death.

You might remember Jamie from CBC’s Street Cents when you were kids...or ask your parents.

Yes, he saw Star Wars in the summer of 1977 and correctly predicted that Darth Vader was Luke’s father (spoilers!).

Jamie is the playwright of, KAMP, which has its world premiere at Neptune Theatre’s Scotiabank Stage from October 25-November 11, 2018. It is a darkly comedic new musical about a group of homosexual prisoners interred in a Second World War Nazi concentration camp in 1943, who find strength by secretly producing their own cabaret. Also, a dramatic reading of Before the Leaves Turn, Jamie’s First World War play about Maritime families on the homefront, will be presented at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 on Remembrance Day.
