Fanfiction is a huge part of fandoms. Even mainstream media is taking note of it. Despite this, there is a shockingly tiny amount of help available on writing good fanfics. Fanfiction 101 would fill this void. It would create a space to discuss the oldest part of fandoms with enthusiasm. Hal-Con is a Con that celebrates not just fandoms but writers too. Hosting a panel on the art of writing fan fiction would combine the best of those worlds and bring something special to Hal-Con.
