Local science fiction and fantasy author Chantal Boudreau explores worlds that weren't.  How does an author research for the creation of fictional worlds with fictional histories, when writing science fiction and fantasy with an alternative history to the world we know? Chantal Boudreau is a speculative fiction writer with a focus in horror and fantasy.  Her published story of which she is proudest is Dead Drift, which was also adapted for theatre.  Outside of Canada, to date, she has published more than fifty stories with a variety of American and British publishers. Boudreau is the author of The Curlicue Seahorse, a science fiction short story included in the Aurora-nominated steampunk anthology Clockwork Canada (edited by Dominik Parisien).
