On any long trek, it is always wise to stop to refuel. For anyone waiting in line to get into the building for the first moments of Hal-Con 2018, we are there to help. We will be presenting our adventurers with a spot of elven bread (i.e. cake), and a warm beverage. Will have a limited supply of cake for those with dietary restrictions.

Join Armonia LARP for an interactive demonstration into the life of an adventurer! The Armonian Adventurers College will be holding an introductory session on how to swing swords, throw thunderbolts, and mangle monsters! Choose between one of the four main adventuring classes and learn their skills of the trade from a seasoned adventuring professional!

Learn to wield a blade and heft a shield against mighty foes as a fierce Fighter, or how to harness the elements to throw bolts of Lightning and fire at you enemies as a Celestial Scholar. Perhaps you wish to learn how to call upon the healing energies of the earth itself to mend the wounds of your allies as an Earth Scholar, or maybe choose the path of the Rogue and learn the value of poisonous gasses and stealth!

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to slay Goblins, save the village, and get paid in shiny coins then join Armonia LARP on Argyle St at 5:30 on Saturday October 27th! All equipment will be provided, you need only bring yourself and an adventuring spirit!

Hal-Con Street Fest *CANCELLED*

We decided it made sense for us to close Argyle Street in front of the Convention Centre for vehicle traffic to make things a little easier for all of us. We figured since it was closed, we might as well use it for something fun on Sunday! We’ve partnered with Downtown Halifax for the Hal-Con Street Fest. Stop by Argyle street between Prince and Sackville streets from noon to 3:00 pm for an afternoon of kid friendly fun. There will be bouncy castles, entertainment from Halifax Circus, face painting, popcorn, and more. This event is free and open to the public, you don’t need a Hal-Con ticket to attend but we bet you’ll wish you had one once you’re done!
